DFS Fantasy Plays for October 8, 2017

Fanduel Plays for October 8, 2017

This week’s plays will have some familiar faces and some newcomers. As in every season, the injuries are starting to mount so we need to be creative in order to continue our dominance in these daily fantasy streets.

Jordy Nelson – Green Bay

Coming off 10 days rest, Nelson will be a key once again in the Packer passing game. Besides being Aaron Rodgers favorite target. Nelson can expect even more targets with Davante Adams still going through the league’s concussion protocol. Dallas has struggled to stop the pass so far this year. Dallas is 20th in the league in giving up passing TDs. Dallas’ corners are average at best, QBs have a 96.5 rating against the Cowboys those seasons. All of that points to a productive day for Jordy Nelson.

Eli Manning – New York

Keeping with the veteran theme, I’m loving Eli Manning today against the Los Angeles Chargers. The weary Chargers are coming cross country seeking their first win, QBs have a 101.0 rating against the Chargers this season. The Chargers are also 23rd in the league in yards given up over the air. Even though Eli Manning is turnover prone, the Chargers will likely not take advantage, they are 26th in the league in interceptions. Manning, after a rough start this season, has begun to heat up. The veteran has thrown for 5 TDs over the last 2 weeks and ran for another. Giants coach Ben McAdoo still prioritizes throwing the ball in his offense, and with Odell Beckham Jr. back at full strength, look for Eli to have a big day.

Todd Gurley – Los Angeles

Gurley is a fantasy monster. He is averaging 4.2 yards per carry and 11.7 yards per reception on the young season. Last week versus Dallas, Gurley exploded for 121 yards on the ground and another 94 yards receiving. Great play here against the Seahawks. As they struggle against the short passing game, the 12th man struggles even more against the run. The Seahawks are 27th against the run and 31st in yards per attempt. Expect the Rams to get Gurley going early and often today.
